【摘要】:Thismethodisfordeterminingtheextentofplatinumagglomerationinreformingcatalysts,i.e.,thefractionoftheplatinuminthesamplethathasagglomeratedintocrystalliteslargerthan3.5nm,usingX-raydiffraction.Thesematerialsgenerallycontainbetween0.2to0.4mass-%platinumonpredominantlygamma-aluminasupport.Thismethodcanalsobeusedforqualitativelydeterminingthealuminatypespresentinthesample.Catalystsamplesmaybeeitherfresh,spentorregenerated,astypicallevelsofcarbon,sulfurandmoistureassociatedwiththesesamplesdonotinterfere.Reformingcatalystscontaininglessthan2%zeoliticmaterialsmayalsobeanalyzed.Sampleswheretheplatinumhasformedanalloywithothermetalssuchastin,rhodium,rheniumorironcannotbeanalyzedbythismethod.
