【摘要】:Dilutesolutionsofperoxidesinvariousorganicsolventsfrequentlyareusedascatalystsorreactioninitiators.Peroxidesalsocanbeformedthroughautoxidationincertainclassesofcompoundsincludingethers,acetals,dienes,andalkylaromatichydrocarbonsandpresentapotentialsafetyhazard.Thistestmethodprovidesaprocedurefordeterminingtheperoxideoractiveoxygenlevel.1.1Thistestmethod,coversorganicsolventscontainingactiveoxygenintherangefrom5to80x03BC;g/g(ppm)orhigher.Byusingaspecialreaction-absorptioncell,thetestmethodcanbeextendedtocovertherangefrom0to5ppm.Thetestmethodcanbeusedtodeterminenumerousperoxideclassesofvaryingreactivitysuchashydroperoxides,diacylperoxides,diaroylperoxides,peresters,andketoneperoxides.Thestabledi-tert-alkylperoxidesdonotreactundertheconditionsofanalysis.1.2Solventsthatcanbeanalyzedsuccessfullyincludesaturatedandaromatichydrocarbons,alcohols,ethers,ketones,andesters.Inaddition,thetestmethodisapplicabletoolefinicsolventsandtocertaincompoundsthatcontainx03B1;,x03B2;,andconjugatedunsaturation.Solidsamplesthataresolubleintheaceticacid-chloroformsolventalsocanbeanalyzed.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.5ReviewthecurrentMaterialSafetyDataSheets(MSDS)fordetailedinformationconcerningtoxicity,firstaidpractices,andsafetyprecautions.
