Title:Aerospace Active Inceptor Systems for Aircraft Flight and Engine Controls, General Specification For
Issuing Committee:A-6a3 Flight Control Systems Committee
Scope: The purpose of this document will be to develop an ARP for active inceptor systems. The ARP will develop technical material that describes the key characteristics of an active inceptor system and clearly identifies the capabilities and limitations of this type of system. Where appropriate, the effects of platform specific requirements e.g. single axis/dual, single seat/dual seat axis, civil/military, rotary aircraft/conventional aircraft, etc. will be clearly identified. The material developed will serve as a reference guide for a) Aircraft Manufacturers who want to understand AIS technology and develop their own set of requirements, b) Equipment Suppliers who want to develop AIS equipment and c) Regulatory Authorities who will be involved in the certification of these types of systems.
